Data analysis showed that there were increases in student mean scores in reading interest, reading efficacy, writing interest, and positive attitudes about revision following the author visit. The increases in reading interest, reading efficacy, and positive attitudes about revision were found to be statistically significant.
The research was overseen by Jo Anne Pandey, Ph.D., a faculty member at California State University Northridge in the Child and Adolescent Development department. A follow-up to dive into the numbers further is currently underway.
